Review

With artworks by the Danish artist Jeppe Hein, the new art action "kunst findet stadt" by Baden-Baden Events celebrated its premiere in the Kurgarten in front of the Kurhaus in summer 2021.

In 2022, the Italian artist Marinella Senatore followed with her Luminarie on the façade of the Kurhaus and installations in front of the building and in the colonnades.

Marinella Senatore
Marinella Senatore currently lives in Rome. Senatore is a multidisciplinary artist trained in fine arts, music, and cinema. Her work is characterized by a strong involvement and collaboration with local communities. With her art, she always invites the public to participate. Marinella Senatore incorporates the surrounding environment in her works, creating fluid and heterogeneous spaces defined by the place and the environment. Her artworks, performances and dance projects have been exhibited in New York, Paris, Berlin, Miami and Tel Aviv, among others. Marinella Senatore has also participated in several Biennials, such as Venice, São Paulo, and Havana, as well as in the Manifesta12 in Palermo.

Jeppe Hein
Jeppe Hein is a Danish artist living and working in Berlin. In his interactive artwork, he combines aesthetics with play, the public sphere with individual experience, the environment and the inner world. Born in Copenhagen in 1974, Jeppe Hein studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt/Main from 1997 to 2003. He has been showing his works around the globe since 2001. His latest project in public space took place in Central Park and the UN Headquarters in New York in 2019. "Jeppe Hein's highly aesthetic and at the same time playful art works so well in public spaces because it also has a strong communicative effect." , says Henning Schaper. "Essential for the decision was the rich variety of his artistic interventions, which are fed by sources of inspiration such as mirror cabinets, labyrinths and optical conundrums."
