FOREST HIKING WELLNESS - Deluxe Double Room

Start the day with a substantial breakfast, then strengthened to explore "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail" (according to the "Wandermagazin 2020"). This trail leads 45 kilometers through the Black Forest and around Baden-Baden. The trail overcomes a maximum altitude difference of 1,420 meters on the entire route.

One way to get started can be a ride on the Merkur mountain railroad. It is a meter-gauge funicular that leads up to Baden-Baden's local mountain Merkur. From up there, you have a fantastic view all the way to the Vosges Mountains, you can watch paragliders take off or simply enjoy an Aperol Spritz in the sun.

After a day full of hiking and beautiful views, the Caracalla Spa awaits you with more than 4,000 m² for soothing relaxation and extensive bathing in the hot thermal water.

Description

Right in the picturesque heart of the old town of Baden-Baden, a short way up from the pedestrian zone, you will find our personal and family-run hotel which offers you a long tradition of true hospitality. The Hotel am Markt is located in the center of the old town and is part of the historic spa district. Museums, shopping or spa- from us you can reach all sights and cultural facilities in a few minutes walk. Each room has its own character and is individually designed. They have modern amenities in a venerable ambience. Our hotel has been known as a "guest house" for 250 years. Since 1950 it has been run by our family. Mrs Doris Jung, Mrs Andrea Bogner-Schindler and Mrs Lisa Baum keep up the tradition in second and third generation.

Directions

If you come from the Autobahn: Follow the blue signs “ Thermen/Rathaus”. Keep left and at the Opera House you turn left into Leopoldstraße (watch out for the signs “ Thermen/ Gggenau”).

Follow the road uphill, drive through the small tunnel and take the second turn right into Rotenbachtalstraße. Follow the road onto Sophienstraße. From there on it is sign-posted ( green sign Hotel am Markt ).

Turn right into the pedestrian area, right again, then left into Steinstraße and up the hill. On your right there you will find our house.

If you travel by train- you take at the station bus Nr. 201. You get off the bus at Hindenburgplatz. Cross the street go straight on till you come to the pedestrian zone. Turn right towards Hotel Hirsch and there you take Hirschstraße going up.

We are located beside the church on Marktplatz.
