Visit the Rose Society Garden on the Beutig when the roses are in bloom. High above the city, among rose varieties from all over the world.

Visited the casino at least once. Not necessarily to gamble. But to understand why Marlene Dietrich called it the most beautiful casino in the world.

And ridden the Merkur at least once. The little mountain railway, the sweeping view, Baden-Baden at your feet.

In spring, Lichtentaler Allee blooms in white and pink, the rose gardens come to life, and the city has that special lightness that’s twice as beautiful after a long winter.

In summer, open-air festivals, the “Große Woche” at the racetrack, and balmy evenings on terraces overlooking the city beckon. The Black Forest and the wine-growing region are so close that a spontaneous trip to the countryside is always possible.

In the autumn, the wine-growing region glows in warm golden hues, the grape harvest begins, and the thermal baths take on a new quality: cooler outside, warmer inside.

In winter, Baden-Baden transforms into one of the most atmospheric settings of the season with the Christmas Market in front of the Kurhaus. And the Friedrichsbad is just the thing in December.

Baden-Baden is located in the heart of Europe and is easily accessible by several means of transportation.

By train, the ICE stops directly at the Baden-Baden station. The trip takes just under two hours from Frankfurt and less than an hour from Stuttgart. Anyone arriving and immediately immersing themselves in the city will quickly realize that the first wonderful moment often begins on the way there.

By car, Baden-Baden is located directly on the A5 highway between Karlsruhe and Freiburg. From Alsace, the city is just a few minutes’ drive across the Rhine.

By plane, the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport connects the city to European destinations. Major international airports in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Zurich are also easily accessible.
