Arrival by coach

There are two options for arriving by coach:
1. If your group arrives by coach, you will need a special permit (15,- Euro*). With this permit, the coach is authorised to let guests get on and off in the city centre. With this permit you are allowed to drive to Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz in the city centre (see city map) to drop off your guests there and pick them up again later. (*Prices may still change in 2022).
For parking, the coach has to go to another coach park (Eisenbahnstraße), which costs extra.
Please let us know if you would like to book this permit for 15,- per bus. We can issue the permit together with the booking.

2. There is also the possibility to get off at the public coach park in Eisenbahnstraße (for a parking fee). Our guide will pick up the group there and lead them from there to the city centre. The 1/2-hour walk into the city centre is then already part of the city tour. Normally the tour starts in the city centre. The tour also takes 1.5-2 hours from here, but has a few less sights.
IMPORTANT: If our guide is also to accompany the group on the way back to the public bus park, approx. 1 hour is lost on the way from the bus park to the city centre and back. Due to the smaller time window in the city centre, not all sights can be visited.

The city centre of Baden-Baden is closed to coaches. Access is only possible as far as Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz with a special entry permit.
Without an entry permit, you can drive as far as the Festspielhaus and the Caracalla Therme bus stop.

Parking in the city centre is not possible. Buses can park at the coach car park on Eisenbahnstraße (fee required).

The special entry permit can only be issued by Baden-Baden Kur & Tourismus GmbH in conjunction with the booking of other services such as a guided tour of the town.
Otherwise you can book the entry permits at the road traffic authority (strassenverkehr@baden-baden.de).

Central boarding and alighting from the coach is possible at the central Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz.
Directions:

• Coming from the A5 motorway, orientate yourself on the brown marked city route "Zentrum/Congress" when entering the city, which leads into the Michaelstunnel.
• Leave the tunnel at the first exit, turn left at the tunnel exit into Lichtentaler Straße, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout into Bertholdstraße and turn right into the 1st street Maria-Viktoria-Straße. Continue straight ahead until you reach Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz after about 350 metres. This is also the start of the city tour.
• The bus driver can pick the group up again at Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz at an agreed time.
• Please note: Parking of the coach is not possible at Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz. To park the bus, you can use the bus car park on Eisenbahnstraße, for which a fee is charged.

Drive from Ludwig-Wilhelm-Platz, 76530 Baden-Baden to the public bus parking area (3.4 km)

1. Drive from Ludwig-Wilhelm-Straße via Bertholdstraße onto Lichtentaler Straße (850 m)
2. Exit onto Michaelstunnel/B500
3. Continue on B500 (2.3 km)
4. Arrival: Bus park Eisenbahnstraße in Eichelgartenstraße 2A, 76530 Baden-Baden
