Arrival & Parking

Getting to the Christmas Market

Whether you come by bus, train, or car – here’s an overview of the best ways to reach the Baden-Baden Christmas Market. Convenient central stops, practical park-and-ride options, and additional free parking areas with bus connections help make your arrival smoother and more relaxed.

Public Transport - Arriving by Bus and Train

Using public transportation is generally the easiest option - no need to worry about finding a parking space.

  • From Baden-Baden Train Station, buses run to the city center roughly every 10 minutes (lines 201, 213, 216, 218 & 244).
  • The ride takes around 15 minutes.
  • The bus stops Leopoldsplatz (Luisenstraße) and Leopoldsplatz (Sophienstraße) are located right in the city center, and from there it’s only a few steps to the Christmas Market.
  • A day ticket for buses in Baden-Baden (up to 3 zones) costs €7 per person, and groups benefit from reduced fares.

  • With children: When using a day ticket for adults, each adult may bring all of their own children or grandchildren under the age of 15. This means that with a day ticket for one person, your own children can travel with you at no additional cost. The same applies to the 5-person day ticket - 5 adults can travel together along with all their children.

    - Located in the lower “Fernsehtiefgarage”
    - Ideal for visitors coming from Rebland, Bühl, or Sinzheim
    - Instead of a parking fee, the charity initiative “Herzenssache” welcomes donations
  • Riverty-Parking - Free but bus tickets are required

    - Ideal for those arriving via Rheinstraße or the B500
    - Buses from the Dreieichenkapelle stop go directly to the city center

Additional Parkings

Below you’ll also find an overview of the other paid parking garages. As a general rule: the closer you get to the Christmas Market, the higher the chance that the garage will already be full — especially on weekends and public holidays. Choosing one of the other options tends to help avoid long waiting times.
