January until March
Snowdrop: the first heralds of spring
Delicate yet resilient, they take their place along Lichtentaler Allee and Kaiserallee as soon as the first rays of sunlight appear. It doesn't matter whether there is snow or not. The name comes from the fact that the flowers are able to pierce a blanket of snow with their flower heads.
Mid-February until end of March
Crocus in focus
Not only the "Crocus tommasinianus", but also numerous Crocus hybrids enchant the promenade from the Trinkhalle to the Lichtenthal monastery with millions of crocus blossoms. With the first warm rays of spring sunshine, the countless blossoms in all shades of blue-violet, white, purple and even a bit of yellow appear.

March till April
The magnolia blossom - the star in the park
In spring, the city's "green lung" - the Lichtentaler Allee - sinks into a sea of thousands of magnolia blossoms. The colours range from pure white to pale pink and purple. Also, the Stourzda Chapel and the villa areas are enveloped in the magnificent splendour of the magnolia blossom and can be discovered during a walk.

A dream in pink - the Japanese flowering cherry
They are among the first flowers to bloom in spring in front of the Trinkhalle and along the Lichtentaler Allee, transforming the lawn into a white or pale pink carpet of blossoms.

Daffodils: the yellow trumpets of spring
The yellow blossom is best observed during the Easter season on the meadows along the Lichtentaler Allee, the Wasserkunst Paradies, the Kaiserallee and in front of the Trinkhalle and the Kurhaus.

The wonderful blossom of the fruit trees
Baden-Baden is dressed in a pink and white blossom dress and the idyllic orchard meadows show themselves in their most beautiful garb. Along stage 2 of the Panorama Trail, which by the way is Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2020, you can enjoy the blossoming of the fruit trees. Not far from Lichtentaler Allee, you can also experience the blossoming of the fruit trees on the monastery meadow of Obstgut Leisberg.
April until mid-May
It’s tulip time
In spring, the Dahlia Garden in the Lichtentaler Allee conjures up a colourful carpet of blossoms, but not with dahlias, rather with 7,000 tulips in 64 different varieties. In the Kurgarten and in front of the theatre, the tulips bloom in finely composed mixtures that create a special play of colours. How wonderful!
End of April until mid-May
Alpine rose or rhododendron? Both!
The lush blossom of the rhododendron gives the Michaelsberg, the Geroldssauer waterfalls, the Lichtentaler Allee as well as the approach to the Merkur an elegant and stylish look. Fun fact: There is a species named after Baden-Baden - the Rhododendron repens 'Baden-Baden' with deep red flowers.

Roses as far as the eye can see
In the Rose Society Garden, 1.000 different rose varieties show off their full splendour. And did you know that it is also the venue of one of the most important international rose novelty competitions? But that' s not all - you can also smell the rosy scent from afar in the Gönneranlage.

The queen of autumn - the dahlia blossom
Every year, over 1.800 dahlias in 64 different varieties bloom in the dahlia garden on the Klosterwiese, from the small-flowered ball dahlias to the water lily dahlias up to the large-flowered cactus dahlias. With their blaze of colour, they delight thousands of visitors from near and far.
